The PASSERINE Public Key Encryption and Authentication Mechanism

چکیده

PASSERINE 1 is a lightweight public key encryption mechanismwhich is based on a hybrid, randomized variant of the Rabin public key encryption scheme. Its design is targeted for extremely low-resource applications such as wireless sensor networks, RFID tags, embedded systems, and smart cards. As is the case with the Rabin scheme, the security of PASSERINE can be shown to be equivalent to factoring the public modulus. On many low-resource implementation platforms PASSERINE offers smaller transmission latency, hardware and software footprint and better encryption speed when compared to RSA or Elliptic Curve Cryptography. This is mainly due to the fact that PASSERINE implementations can avoid expensive big integer arithmetic in favor of a fully parallelizable CRT randomized-square operation. In order to reduce latency and memory requirements, PASSERINE uses Naccache-Shamir randomized multiplication, which is implemented with a system of simultaneous congruences modulo small coprime numbers. The PASSERINE private key operation is of comparable computational complexity to the RSA private key operation. The private key operation is typically performed by a computationally superior recipient such as a base station.

DoS-Resistant Attribute-Based Encryption in Mobile Cloud Computing with Revocation

Security and privacy are very important challenges for outsourced private data over cloud storages. By taking Attribute-Based Encryption (ABE) for Access Control (AC) purpose we use fine-grained AC over cloud storage. In this paper, we extend previous Ciphertext Policy ABE (CP-ABE) schemes especially for mobile and resource-constrained devices in a cloud computing environment in two aspects, a ...

An Efficient Attribute Based Schema for Trust and Cluster Based Authentication Mechanism in MANET

A mobile adhoc network is wireless communication network that have been collection of nodes with no fixed infrastructure and are able to discover the nearby node with lack of centralized control .Due to this lack of security issues occurs, so protecting the data or node in the network is essential in MANET. In recent works distributed system are mostly depend on key distribution and management ...

A Hybrid Encryption Scheme with Key-cloning Protection: User / Terminal Double Authentication via Attributes and Fingerprints

Internet service has enabled digital contents to be shared faster and easier, but on the other side it raised an issue of illegal copy of the digital contents. Public key encryption schemes solve this issue partially. However, there is still a weak point that the secret key is not completely protected; that is, public key encryption schemes suffer from illegal copy of secret keys (the key-cloni...

A Mutual Authentication Method for Internet of Things

Today, we are witnessing the expansion of various Internet of Things (IoT) applications and services such as surveillance and health. These services are delivered to users via smart devices anywhere and anytime. Forecasts show that the IoT, which is controlled online in the user environment, will reach 25 billion devices worldwide by 2020. Data security is one of the main concerns in the IoT. ...

Generic Certificateless Key Encapsulation Mechanism

We propose the first generic construction of certificateless key encapsulation mechanism (CL-KEM) in the standard model, which is also secure against malicious-but-passive KGC attacks. It is based on an ID-based KEM, a public key encryption and a message authentication code. The high efficiency of our construction is due to the efficient implementations of these underlying building blocks, and ...
